The Center for the Art of Translation is a non-profit organization focused on “finding dazzling new, overlooked, and underrepresented voices” and translating their literature into English. We played off the Center’s abbreviated name, CAT, to create an icon for the organization. The Center also publishes books under the name Two Line Press and they asked for a logo that could be used for both entities. To achieve this, we drew the logo using “two lines”, with the curve of the tail evoking a letter “C”.
